Sterile Horse Serum is suitable for use, as a supplement in the preparation of culture media. Sterile horse serum can be used as a nutrient additive to both broths and agars in microbiological testing. Sterile Horse Serum is collected from antibiotic free herds located in the UK. The serum is processed through a triple filter filtration system to 0.2µm. After filtration the dispensing and bottle filling processes are carried out in a clean room area under laminar flow. Once labelled, the filled bottles are frozen and stored at -20°C without delay. - Preparation Instructions
Dependent on final medium being produced, aseptically add the required amount of Sterile Horse Serum (SHS) to the cooled medium and allow to mix prior to final product dispensing.
