Dehydrated Culture Media products are formulated to supply the required nutrients to allow for the growth of microorganisms. Used in combination with a variety of selective agents and incubation conditions a wide range of specific organisms can be isolated. With careful raw material selection of the various media components E&O can ensure a consistent level of quality and performance. For each formulation the necessary ingredients are accurately weighed, combined and blended together to produce a homogenous powdered product.

Preston Enrichment Broth

Campylobacter Enrichment Broth Base (Preston Enrichment Broth Base) is recommended for selective enrichment and cultivation of Campylobacter species. This medium is recommended by APHA for enrichment of thermotolerant Campylobacter species from foods. It has a rich basal medium to aid resuscitation of sublethally damaged Campylobacter. Preliminary incubation of the medium complete with antibiotics for 4 hours at 37°C was recommended to aid resuscitation of injured organisms followed by 42°C for 18-48 hours.
